Flower Box

Create a stunning beaded flower box featuring a sparkling floral design that shines from every angle. Using Delica seed beads and pear-shaped crystals, you’ll craft a beautiful beaded lid—or transform it into an elegant pendant. The matching box base reveals a repeating flower pattern underneath, adding a hidden layer of detail and delight.

This project is perfect for building your peyote and beadweaving skills while exploring 3D construction techniques. Designed by Paula from On A String, this charming design blends structure, sparkle, and creativity into one rewarding make.

*Please note, this project will not be completed during the zoom sessions but you will have everything you need to finish this at home.

The zoom session will start a few minutes early to allow everyone time to join for the class

Please be ready to start your class at 9.55am so that you don’t miss any important information.

To allow this class to proceed there is a minimum of four participants. To ensure students receive the ideal level of personal attention there is a maximum of twelve students.

To attend this event, you will need a laptop or tablet, the Zoom Application that can easily be downloaded for either Windows, Apple, or Android devices, and a good internet connection.  

A link to the zoom meeting will be sent out in a calendar booking and email prior to the class.

Skill Level:
This class is for Intermediate beaders. An understanding of peyote stitch and beadweaving would be helpful.

Cost:
$140 + Kit - this includes the 5 hours of Tuition and digital pattern.

(The pattern will be sent via email a few days before the class)

Kit:  

Each kit is $85 and includes all of the beads and stones to make the box.

These kits are available in Silver & Pastels or Gold & Pastels.

Once you have booked your space in the class, we will pass your details on to Paula who will contact you regarding your cabochon options. Paula will post these out to you prior to class.

Local: Order and pay by February 23rd, to be sent out from March 2nd (parcel post $12).
International: Order and Pay by February 17th, to be sent out from February 20th (international standard shipping - $TBA). If kits are ordered after these cut-offs, it cannot be assured that they will reach the student in time for class, and will be at the student’s own risk.

Other items Required for Class:

• Your preferred beading needle;
• Your thread of choice (Fireline / Miyuki  KO or OneG);
• Sharp pointy scissors or thread zap;
• Beading Mat;
• Notebook/Pen/Pencil if you would like to take notes.

Tutor: Paula Gething
Paula loves to bead … it is how she relaxes, gets creative and learns. Paula has been beading for more than 15 years, and her great thrill is that her passion for beading is being shared with others – either through teaching, sharing her craft or seeing others wear her finished jewellery.

Cancellations:
As this course is provided by a guest tutor no refunds will be available for cancellations unless we are able to sell your place to another student. If you need to cancel your booking and have someone willing to take your place in the class please contact Lynda to facilitate this change.

Should the course need to be cancelled full refunds will be paid.
