Mother and Child Class - Advanced

This class includes tuition and all materials for you both to make two or three pieces.  Options include: bracelets, necklaces, pendants, key rings, bookmarks or earrings if old enough to use tools.

This class can also be an opportunity for anyone with a close adult child relationship to enjoy some creative time together eg Father and Child, Grandmother, Grandfather, Aunt or Uncle and Child, older cousin and child.

Advanced Class includes projects that may require the participants to use tools such as necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

Time: 1 hour 

Cost: $90. This includes teaching time, instruction on the use of tools and a range of beads and findings  for one adult and one child to make 1 or 2 pieces each. Cost for additional child: $45.

Age: Suitable for adult and child 10 - 15*

Class Size: Maximum 4

Booking:  This class is available Thursdays 11am and 1pm, Fridays 11am and Saturdays 11am, 1pm and 3pm

To secure your booking a deposit of 50% of the class/session cost is payable.

24 hours notice must be given for change or cancellation otherwise deposit will be forfeited

* If considering this class for a child under 10 we suggest  you consider whether the child has made any jewellery previously - if not we suggest starting with the Mother and Child General class https://www.banjosbeadhouse.com.au/mother-and-child-class-general. If they have made jewellery before eg stretch bracelets and necklaces on cord that they are able to finish with no or little assistance consider whether  they have the hand strength and dexterity to hold and manipulate tools eg can they easily use a knife and fork, can they cut a circle with scissors while staying on the cut line, can they open and close a necklace clasp, can they tie shoe laces unassisted, can they tie simple knots, can they plait their hair or cord.
