Rainbow Jasper is a colourful natural stone admired for its beautiful combination of earthy tones and naturally varied patterns. Depending on its source, it may feature shades of red, burgundy, rust, ochre, mustard, cream, beige, brown, grey, green, and pink arranged in bands, patches, veins, or flowing patterns.

Rainbow Jasper is a descriptive trade name used for multicoloured Jasper rather than one formally defined mineral variety or locality. As a result, colour and pattern can vary considerably between different sources.

Traditionally, Rainbow Jasper has been associated with grounding, stability, resilience, creativity, confidence, balance, and emotional harmony. Its varied colours have inspired associations with positivity, adaptability, and bringing different aspects of life into balance. These metaphysical associations are based on gemstone traditions and are not scientifically proven.

Rainbow Jasper pairs beautifully with sterling silver, stainless steel, yellow gold, rose gold, copper, Carnelian, Tiger Eye, Smoky Quartz, Black Onyx, Mookaite, Picture Jasper, Freshwater Pearls, crystals, seed beads, leather, and timber. It is ideal for necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pendants, malas, bead embroidery, and artisan jewellery.

Jasper generally has a hardness of approximately 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale, making it suitable for regular wear.
